What's up minna-san? I told you guys that I might be back with another review. This entry is late because of my issues with Disqus(it's resolved now). I just finished watching Premium Rush with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it. ~shakes head~ Whew! He is FINE! ❤
Yes, this entry is safe for work. lol But, it does contain spoilers!(`∀´)
Earlier today(Dec. 26th), I decided to check out this movie because I needed a Christmas horror movie to watch. I don't celebrate this holiday anymore, I just don't... Anyway, I gave this movie three and a half stars, because it wasn't that bad. I just hated that it reminded me so much of Silent Night, Deadly Night(if you haven't watch it, I suggest that you watch it before you watch this). Here are some similarities between this and the original movie.
① A man sitting in a chair, in a Catatonic state, just like in the original. Then he comes back to his normal self to tell a scary tale about the killer Santa Claus.
② The main purpose of this Santa Claus killing everyone, is because they have sinned. In the original, this was also the reason why the killer Santa murdered people. Except, in the first one, he was traumatized by witnessing his parents being murdered. In the new one, he found out that his wife was committing adultery.
③ The way this Santa murdered the chick in the Santa outfit, is the same as the original. He killed her boyfriend with an ax to the back, just like the original.
④ Both in this and the original, the Santa gave the child a gift after murdering her older sister and her boyfriend. In this one, he also murders her father.
⑤ In the final scene, the Santa gets shot after the cop calls his name, to display how he came back. In the original, the Santa was called by his name before he attempted to strike one more time, then got shot. The original, actually focused more on the Antagonist(his childhood to why he became a killer), as oppose to the Protagonist(female cop).
I really appreciated the gore aspect of the movie, which is why I adore horror movies so much! Malcolm McDowell cracked me up the entire time, that it made it difficult for me to really take this movie seriously. lol The acting could have been better, however, like I said, it's a horror movie and seeing as much blood as I can, satisfies me a lot. xD
Oh, I found out, that this IS a remake. Hollywood is still running out of ideas...
No, I didn't forget anything. I noticed someone extremely attractive in this movie! Miss Ellen Wong! How cute is she?
That's enough. lol Her beauty is striking. I can't apprehend why she isn't sitting on my face right now though... And if you think I didn't make a funny about this chick, you need to lay off that new crack they got out(don't ask because I don't use it lol).
This is all folks, it's late here and I really want this posted. I'll have a new Gyaru styled header on here for New Years. Oyasumi minna-san~

Anyways... I really thought she(Ellen) was going to die in this film. My *ss was about to turn into Corey Feldman in Friday the 13th. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! BUT she didn't die, which was a relief, unlike in Wrong Turn 4. ( ̄っ ̄) lol
