My Rating: ★★★☆☆
I've decided to try this out after it was recommended by the nice Black lady at Sally Beauty Supply. I was in there to purchase some more oils and an applicator bottle.
I wasn't so sure if I wanted to try it, as it has alcohol in it. My hair and alcohol don't mix.
So on Wednesday(Jan. 8th), I've decided to wash my hair, despite it freezing in the house! X.X Alas, I have to deal with the interminable of my nails breaking every time I wash my hair. -__-
I applied it to my hair after attempting to separate my hair into sections(mind you, I have thick ass hair!!!). It has a cocoa butter aroma to it which catches you by surprise as you'd think it'd be a citrus aroma like the rest. I also applied grapeseed oil to my hair and scalp with it.
I probably should have followed directions instead of keeping it on my hair for thirty-minutes. :[ My hair didn't come out bad but it seemed as if it were the same before I even washed it!
I put this Softee Indian Hemp 【Ingredients▪Petrolatum , Lanolin , Jojoba Oil , Safflower Oil , Wheat Germ Oil , Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) , Indian Hemp Oil , Jaborandi Oil , Nettle Oil , Rosemary Oil , Birch Oil , Burdock Oil , Rosehips Oil , Irishmoss Oil , Coltsfoot Oil , Dandelion Oil , Yellow Dock Oil , Elder Flowers Oil , Brewer's Yeast , Shave Grass Oil , Echinacea Oil , Wild Cherry Bark Oil , Nepeta Cataria , Paraffin , Fragrance , BHT , Yellow 11】 in my hair after I washed this out, and it's just sitting there... I thought it would work, like it did years ago, during my transitioning but now, it just sits on my hair. I only have two of these, I'll use them for three days so I won't repurchase.
In the end, I'm sure that it(the leave-in) worked fine on her hair, then again, hers was processed, it didn't work so well with mine. Maybe I'll try again. It's probably for chicks with processed, straightened hair. Here are some tips for you ladies below.
Detangling Tips
1. Separate your hair into at least 4 sections (6 if your hair is really thick and/or long).
2. Take a generous amount of moisturizing conditioner and work it through each section. Make sure you coat your roots. Add an oil while conditioning to aid with locking in moisture. If you haven't combed through your hair in days, there will be shedding.
3. Put on a plastic cap and let the conditioner sit in your hair for at least 30 minutes.
4. Optional: Take each section down (one at a time) and slowly work your fingers through it. The conditioner should have softened your tangles up allowing you to work your fingers through.
How did it work for you? Comment below if you have any questions~ :] Edit- This will be my final product review. I have my reasons, don't want to be accused of being a racist. lol
