Ulta & A New Look

Konnichiwa-minna san~ Genki? As for me, I was very excited to do this blog entry.

As you know, in February of this year, I went to this store entitled Ulta. I've heard a little about this store, and lately I have been craving some luxury brands. Thanks to being an influencer online, I thought I'd check this store out. When I went to one in another town, I was in the strip mall and thought I'd see what this place is all about. I walked in and I absolutely love this place! They have beaucoup ranges of products from drugstore to high price brands. All types of styling tools to their own hair salon. At that time I had no money so I left.

The second time I went, I went to the one in Baton Rouge by the Mall of Louisiana. 2/23/16 Y'all know about that gift card, had to spend that bitch and I did. I got these gems below!

From left to right: DevaCurl Styling Cream, Living Proof Timeless Conditioner, OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Weightless Healing Dry Oil, Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner
I am relieved that I no longer have any ties to that dreadful, pathetic excuse for a mall, I can now move on to a mall in another location(which I will leave unnamed). I have been purchasing a few cheap products which seems to work pretty well as I feel like paying a lot of money for a product, won't always work. You already know from my past posts about my purchase from that natural hair store and ended up regretting half of my purchase. I tend to stick to the cheaper brands until the popular ones are on sale.

I also purchased Organic R/S Root Stimulator Olive Oil Heat Protection Serum from Target. Speaking of there, I will not be shopping at the one in Baton Rouge anymore. It has turned into Walmart with hiring uneducated, socially inept Negroes with self hate issues. I will shop at Target locations somewhere else.

These are my new flat irons! Since I got over excited to try these, I actually put the heat up the max and it fried my hair! Especially because I put too much product in my hair! If I want to flat iron my hair, I will probably skip using my Conair Styler and doing the L.O.C. treatment! If you don't know what that means Lotion Oil leave-in Conditioner.

What's in this bundle: 1¼ Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium flat iron, 0.5 mini flat iron, travel size hair dryer, wide tooth comb, and heat proof bag. I have to say that I was very impressed  by everything in this bundle! I've made the mistake of putting it up too high, and with my hair having a lot of product in it, it fried my hair as stated above. The comb is amazing for my hair! I have mixed feelings about the hair dryer, I feel as if I am getting to the point where I just want to stick to air drying my hair. All in all, I am very impressed by this! It was definitely worth the money, despite it being higher. I've learned that higher means better results. All of those times where I paid $20-$70 for trash flat irons(such as Conair), this was all I needed! I will re-do my hair and start over again one day!

After putting oil into my hair, it added some shine and I was able to at least break apart the dried ends. That's my suggestion to Black women with my hair texture.

3/4/16 So I went ahead and washed my hair, twisted it and reverted it back to the curl texture. Too bad I am dyeing my hair again next week. I am happy to see my skin clearing up a bit after using whatever it is that this survey company sent for my face.

3/6/16 Just chilling outside on my Yoga mat!

3/17/16 I'm just having fun out there! No green on but I am loving my Conair Styler and BaByliss flatiron! In these photos, I've only done a blowout.

Here's my hair dying journey from my private blog.

January 1st- Welp, a new year... I started off my day with dying the crap out of my hair! That shit was so strong that it was burning my edges, my eyes and fucked with my sinuses. My nose has been acting up all day but after I washed my hair and took my bath, I'm feeling a little bit better. My hair is like a strawberry blond so I will have to purchase another dye and I will be done with it. My dad doesn't like my hair too much but it's not about him. It's time for a new look...

January 26th- This is a photo I took after seeing how dark my scalp is. Turns out that's new growth!

February 1st-Today, I thought I'd take another shot with my hair.

As you can see, there's no more red, it's all brown. Since I will be returning a product I bought from Crapmart I thought that I'd use my debit card to pick up some more hair products. I won't be returning to Sally Beauty Supply anymore since they ignored my messages. Fuck that place.

February 11th- Waking up early this morning, I decided to sign into L'oreal to see if they had a study that I could qualify for. And lo and behold, there was one! And I qualified for it! I can't wait to try it out and get my gift! I thought I was in another study but quota was full.

I am loving my beauty blender and foundation I got from Marie Claire!
It was originally $9.97 but snagged it at $3.50.
I have taken a strong interest in Germany, these past couple of months, as well as German products. This was on sale at Crapmart months ago. I will bleach my hair one more time before I use it.

Background info on this brand: Our love for hair goes back to 1898, when chemist Hans Schwarzkopf founded a small drugstore in Berlin, Germany, and introduced the world’s first powder shampoo. Today, Schwarzkopf is one of the leading hair cosmetic brands worldwide and continues to revolutionize the market with technical breakthroughs. You can find our products in more than 130 countries. With over 115 years of delivering quality and innovation we have the expertise to best serve your individual needs.

I don't need this dye so I guess I can keep it until next year or something.

So I've decided to bleach my hair one last time. 3/30/16 And so far, I've finally gotten the brown/orange tint out of my hair. I will take pictures of my hair once I get it back in order. I want my curl pattern back and hopefully with using a few products, I will at least get it back to at least a 3c. This will be the final time I'm bleaching. As strong as my hair is, I'd like to keep the rest of it. I will be doing protein treatments and such until then. My vitamins have been helping with my hair growth as well.

Side-note: If you're a natural haired Black female with 4 and above hair texture and you've suffered from bleach damage, I have been doing a lot of research on how to maintain and possible acquiring your hair texture back. Deep conditioner, hot oil treatment and co-wash every week or every two weeks. I have plenty of co-wash and this is what I will be doing from now and on.

This is all for now. I hope you all have enjoyed this entry and has helped you with the whole bleaching natural hair, along with how cool Ulta is! Feel free to follow me on Instagram. I will be posting photos on there from now and on, unless I've taken multiple photos! Thank you for reading!✌
